It’s always hard to decide what to lead with when introducing yourself, but for the sake of this website, I’ll start with the fact that I’m a writer. I’ve been writing since before I could form words on the page. I’d literally ruin reams of old-school printer paper (you know the stuff that had the little holed edges you’d have to pull off?!?) with my scribbles. However, once I was actually able to form cohesive sentences, I haven’t stopped. I have been blogging since 2003-long before it was cool, and way before the mommy bloggers took over. And if you were to follow my history through all those archives, one might be able to trace my undergraduate years in New Zealand, my (untriumphant) return to the USA, my work in marketing and fundraising, my developing heart for women’s ministry, my marriage to a Army officer, and our life and ministry together. You’d see the arrival of three children, the loss of one child, and the shift from military to civilian life. Seriously, we’ve had some times!

Currently I am focusing on parenting young children and how to survive with an ounce of sanity.  I’m passionate about sharing my own journeys through memoir-starting with my first published work: The Day Between: A memoir of miracles , our story of twin-to-twin transfusion. I love teaching and training others in how to share the Gospel of Jesus while also having full-time jobs and three kids. And then, if I’ve had enough coffee, I am pretty interested in the secret to how one might keep one’s toliets all clean and food on the table while also caring about current events (seems like a white whale to me). These are the things you’ll find me mulling over, writing about on my blog, and speaking about to anyone who will listen. I can’t wait to get to know you; so promise this won’t be a one way street, ok?!
